“The most fulfilling part of this job, is hearing about a positive impact in someones life”

People ask, and I answer!
The short answer... I wanted to see more of the world, learn a language, and in general have a different experience than what would have been possible while living in western Canada. While Alberta is beautiful :) , its very isolated from the rest of the world internationally.
Its actually pretty straight forward! A lack of movement in the spine can lead to pinched nerves. The goal of spinal manipulation is to improve the function of the nervous system, by improving the quality of joint movement! This improved movement creates more space for the communication from the brain > body and body > brain. Keep in mind, chiropractic care is far more comprehensive than just "popping joints".
We are dedicated to crafting innovative clinical solutions that revitalize the way our patients move and live.
I Started Embody Health with the intention of creating a practice that would combine the best of traditional chiropractic philosophy with the principles and techniques of functional performance improvement.
Our practice follows the philosophy that adjustments (chiropractic treatments) are most successful when people are treated as a whole human being, not as separate parts.
Our work is focused on finding and treating the underlying causes and not just fighting the symptoms.

From your first call to every follow-up visit, our dedicated team is here to make your care personal and supportive.

Three very unique months working between a hospital, and a remote clinic in Botswana as a Chiropractor with World Spine Care.
This was my first experience as a professional, and it was very eye opening to what we can achieve and the impact our care has on underserved communities, and also to appreciate the level of care we can bring to the world.
It was a privilege to be one of the first practitioners to work with World Spine Care, and now to see how big the organization has grown.

Four Canadian chiropractic students, were selected every two years as representatives to travel by bicycle and meet with Canadian youth to inspire, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
We broke bread with many practicing chiropractors along the way and were fortunate to gain insights into a lot different practice methods and techniques, while getting a peek into their actual homes and lives.
6500 Kilometers, 62 days
Sponsored by CMCC, chiropractic school & TREK for bikes and equipment.
Through our networks, and sometimes new connections, we made about a dozen TV, Radio, and News outlets.

When I was 13 years old, my father suffered an acute hernia when he bent over to grab something. He was rushed to the hospital where he was only offered morphine and other painkillers, which did not provide pain relief. The hospital then sent a chiropractor to my father. He was the only one who could give him some relief after 12 hours of unbearable pain.
The chiropractor explained why this had happened to my fit, healthy father. The hernia was the result of uncorrected subluxations, blockages in the vertebrae.
My father didn’t want anyone in his family to ever have to go through this and we all started chiropractic care.
A few years later I was injured with snowboarding on my pelvis and couldn’t walk. After 6 hours and a few x-rays later the hospital came to the conclusion that I could leave with some paracetamol, because no bones were broken.
Later that day I visited my chiropractor who explained my X-rays in terms I could understand. He gave me an adjustment, corrected the position of my pelvis and I felt a lot better. Not only because of the treatment, but also because he took the time to inform me and allay my concerns about why I was unable to walk.
I was enormously impressed by how personal and sincere his advice was to me. As I left the practice I felt in good hands and in the presence of someone who really cared about my well-being. I realized that this is the impact I want to have on someone else’s life and from that day on changed my future path to become a chiropractor.
In the nine years that followed, I graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan and then with a doctorate in chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). I worked as a chiropractor in Botswana and now for some time in the Netherlands at Embody Health. My future goals are to open some more locations in the Netherlands and to raise the profile of chiropractic in the Netherlands to a much used modality of care.
